WHAT AM I?

Christianity is not mentioned once in the bible. The bible is god breathed scripture by which we are called to live. It is freedom, life, power…NOT CHRISTIANITY!

“Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.”- ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭7:13-14‬

If the road i have to follow is so narrow and only a few find it, I refuse to accept any guidance for this road unless it comes from the creator of my narrow road, he is the ONLY one who knows the way. He is enough.

Why would I follow a religion that wasn’t created by the Creator?!

I WILL STAND UP AND BE A MAN OF GOD AND LIVE THE WAY SCRIPTURE TELLS ME TO. I WILL SUBMIT TO GOD ALONE AND ACCEPT THE BLOOD OF JESUS AS MY SOURCE OF PURITY AND CLEANSING.

I WILL NOT CALL MYSELF A CHRISTIAN, I WILL ONLY STRIVE TO BE A MAN OF GOD WHO LIVES IN A WAY THAT LEADS TO ANYONE WATCHING ME TO CALL ME A CHRISTIAN.

THIS WORD LITERALLY MEANS CHRIST LIKE.

IF MY LIFE IS FULL OF THINGS OF THIS WORLD, I AM NOT CHRIST LIKE AND IT IS AN INSULT FOR ME TO CALL MYSELF CHRIST LIKE, BECAUSE THAT WOULD SIMPLY MEAN THAT I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT CHRIST IS LIKE.

I know i fall short of what is required to call myself Christ like, but I will make it my life mission to push for a life that reflects the love of God to the world. If I am called Christian along the way, it will be an amazing compliment, but as much as I love it, I cannot simply label myself as that without the work required to be that.

“Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.”- Philippians‬ ‭3:13-14‬

BREAKTHROUGH FUTURES.

  1. I like this, ‘Christianity as a compliment.’ It touches on how I’m so uneasy about calling myself a Christian (I’m not worthy?) but haven’t been able to say exactly why, as you have simply accomplished here. So thank you:)

  2. Love this, especially that we can’t just call ourselves Christians without working to BE Christ-like. When we truly love God we are compelled to live for Him, His love naturally pours out of us and towards others in service. Great post! 🙂

  3. And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father which is in heaven.
Neither be ye called masters: for one is your Master, even Christ.
But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant.
And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted.
    Matthew 23:9-12

Stay strong, brother. They way is narrow indeed.
